Crepes

Crepes are one of my ALL-TIME favorites! I used to always eat them when I was little. They’re very easy to make and scrumptious to eat!

You will need:
*4 TBS of melted/softened butter or margine
*3 large eggs
*1 tsp of salt
*1 cup of milk
*3/4 cup  of flour

Mix it all together.
*It will be lumpy, so don’t worry.

Next, spray your pan with cooking spray.
Then scoop a little batter into the pan.
{I use 1/4 cup.}
Then let it cook on one side.
You know it’s ready to be flipped when you can see that it’s cooked through and there are little bubbles.
{I usually go about 30 seconds on each side, just depends on the heat.}
Then flip.
The first side will be nice and smooth. The second side will be rough and lumpy. It’s normal. Yes, you are doing it right.

Once each crepe is done, I put it on a plate and then put a lid over it to keep them warm while the rest are cooking.
This batch makes only about 6-7 crepes, so you may want to double or even triple the batter depending on how many mouths you have to feed.
I ALWAYS eat mine with butter and powdered sugar. I just spread on the butter and pour on the powdered sugar, then roll it up and eat it. But you can add whatever you want to it! Kade ate his with strawberry jam and whipped cream. My mom likes hers with vanilla yogurt and some fruit. I’ve seen them eated with syrup, but that just makes me want to hurl thinking about it. I HATE syrup. I only like it on French Toast. Weird. I know. The possibilities are endless with this as well, and it doesn’t even have to be a breakfast food. My step mom used to always make them and put a chicken with some cheese and cooked veggies inside. In my opinion, they were SO NASTY and I hated it when she made them, but whatever. You might like it. I’m just a picky person.

Let me know how you eat yours!

{Disappearing} Marshmallow Cresent Rolls

So the other morning, I found a recipe on Pinterest.. I thought they sounded super tasty, so I gave it a shot!

Image

Ingredients:

8 Large Marshmallows

8 Cresent Rolls

1/4 Cup of Melted Butter

1/4 Cup of Cinnamon Sugar

*Preheat your oven to the directions on the cresent roll package* {I set mine at 375}

Image

Image
Break open your cresent rolls after you have melted the butter and made the cinnamon sugar mixture. {It always scares me when it pops!}

Image
Lay out each of your triangles.

Image
 Roll your marshmallow in the butter. Make sure it’s completely covered!

Image
 Then immediately after, roll the marshmallow in the cinnamon sugar. Again, be sure the marshmallow is completely covered!

Image
Then wrap your marshmallow TIGHTLY inside of the triangle. You’re going to want to make sure there are no holes because you want the marshmallow to melt into the roll, not pop out.

Image
Line ’em up on your tray all nice and neat!

Image
 I had a little cinnamon sugar left over, so I just sprinkled it on top of all the rolls.
Stick them inside the oven and bake them according to your package. {I did mine for 12 minutes}

Image
Now as you can tell from this picture, mine were not TIGHTLY wrapped. I did have small holes and gaps. Lesson learned! They were still delish and they smelled good, too!!

Image
 Last step is to enjoy! They were THAT easy!! Yum!

 Karsyn loved them (: I hope you will, too!!
